These advantages include in-line collation, binding, and trimming; digital storage of your files, enabling incremental production of additional copies as needs dictate with no set-up charges; personalization using variable data printing.

TIP #2 Maintain a good database. How you create and maintain the information in your catalog—i.e., the electronic file and format you choose—directly influences the amount of graphics time required to get the information print ready, and thus the ultimate cost and time required to produce the catalog.

TIP #3 Consider production time. The amount of time required to produce your catalog varies based on the quantity, page size, page count, number of colors, type of binding, and a variety of other factors. In most cases, assuming no glitches, you should expect to have your catalogs within two weeks after you approve them for production.
